Nectar is conceived as a combining institute of excellence to solve the latest problem in the delivery, inducts, management, extension and use of technology appliances that serve public welfare & hype economic social development of the Nectar the broadest possible terms as far as Implementation of Technology is concerned. The complete operational mission is to infuse, sustain and build a culture of gainful platform of technology at the 1st level for users and to complete the void that exists now in reaching people, end users and communities technology applications which remain unavailable for them. In Nectar the emphasis and focus of technology induction & extension is manly on applications which serve public good; which create employments and livelihoods, especially among the disadvantaged and poor communities; that promote similar economic growth increase productivity in Implementation of technology; enables effective and efficient and use of natural and local resources; for the safety and cleaner surroundings and are socially handicapped. The institute is committed to bring and fill the vital spaces in the technical economic interface and create & deliver services and expertise in the given below areas specially: technology answers design for the problem and issues relevant to the Nectar region; beginning of the most optimal and correctly technology application; bringing in live and adapting the technology for effective and local use; showcasing the applications via pilot projects; capacity and skills building between instructions and users to discard and utilize the applications; induction of the program and hyping entrepreneurial adoption; the growth and initializing of the chosen technologies; maintenance, delivery & servicing of applications through the promotion of an appropriate service and delivery infrastructure. The Centre has decided to work together, partnership and networked framework. The endeavor is designed to build and grow partnerships with communities, people, NGO’s, local bodies, technology and research institutions, knowledge makers, experts and professionals, intermediate entities of all sorts of working for similar aims & very importantly, with the varied organs in the State Governments specially for Implementation of Technology. The programs, offers, support and funding of the Centre will be handled in accordance with this program and framework. The Centre acknowledges that its stakeholders and clients are tied to nectar a partnership mode. Thus, the institutes, apart from using its own resources and expertise, will continuously aim to participate and engage with disperse and varied range of collaborators and program partners. The institute will take initial active measures to encourage and invite the contribution and participation in both institutional and individual of the talents and potential of the Nectar region.
The Centre is acutely aware that the induction and economic use of technology applications is not a technology question alone. It comprises the entire gamut of interlocked chains of production and business which begins with the raw material or a knowledge resource and reaches right to the point where the end product is used or consumed by the citizen or consumer. The centre shall undertake all activities which require technology and management inputs that serve to strengthen the economy of the North Eastern Region and create incomes and livelihoods for the poor and disadvantaged people of the Region.
