A Family Owned Antigua Hotel in Falmouth Harbour

Looking for a small family owned beautiful Antigua Hotel in a historic part of the island, then check out the Catamaran Hotel.

You can certainly have a very pleasant and affordable vacation at the beachfront 15 room Catamaran Hotel, sitting on the south shore at Falmouth Harbour which is right next door to Nelson’s Dockyard, so you are very much in the historic part of Antigua as well.

At less than USD200 per night you can certainly say that the Catamaran Hotel is an affordable vacation, but it is what you get for your money that counts. Whilst it is graded as a one star hotel this seems more than a little unfair because you get quite a lot for your money. In fact compared to other hotels in Antigua your dollar somehow seems to go a whole lot further.

The rooms at the Catamaran Hotel are in the main large, clean, and simply furnished, with a good balcony overlooking the sea and harbour, where you can spend hours watching the yachts leaving, arriving, or just swaying on the water. Apart from ceiling fans and air conditioning , and a hair dryer, the rooms all have a refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and all other essentials so you can be as self catering as you want to be.

There are four different room types depending on your needs, but they all are comfortable, private, with superb ocean views.

The Catamaran Hotel is an ideal place for guests seeking not only comfort but an escape, with a degree of tranquillity. The service is personal, with a lot of very friendly smiles and a willingness to accommodate your needs. Hospitable is a very good word to describe the Catamaran Hotel. You will be made to feel like a VIP, and that is the real magic of a holiday in a privately owned small hotel, and is definitely something you never get in a big chain.

It is always difficult to explain or describe what a hotel is really like. It is almost impossible to use the words affordable vacation and at the same time convey that affordable might mean cheap, but it doesn’t necessarily mean poor quality. In fact affordable means good quality at a price that the ordinary man or woman can afford to pay. This is where the Catamaran Hotel scores over and over again. This is a hotel of quality at a price within the average family budget.

It is in a beautiful situation, and whilst the beach may not be the best in Antigua, but that is only because of its proximity to the Yachting Marina, and this brings with it a degree of unavoidable debris, it is nevertheless a good beach.

The situation on the beach, with the offshore yachts is romantic particularly at night, and this plus the general ambience makes the Catamaran Hotel a pretty good choice as a romantic honeymoon destination. It is also very near to a number of good restaurants and bars, and wherever there are boating people, there is a kind of excitement that makes this part of Antigua a good choice for a honeymoon.

If you are happy with a laid back holiday, spent in pleasant surroundings, and you don’t need a vibrant nightlife to enjoy your vacation in Antigua, then the family owned beach front Catamaran Hotel in Falmouth Harbour could be very close to your ideal place for a truly affordable vacation.
