Technology Integration Group Announced Relocation of Corporate Headquarters

San Diego, CA, February 12, 2014 – IT solutions integrator Technology Integration Group (TIG) is pleased to announce its US based global corporate headquarters has relocated to the Sorrento Mesa area of San Diego.

TIG’s future is growing with recent investment in this high-tech facility for its global headquarters. This facility vastly increases its size to accommodate the company’s growth and expansion with new Infrastructure, Data Center and Cloud services opportunities. The facility will be equipped with a state-of-the-art technology lab and briefing center to better serve customers at the highest levels.

TIG is a privately held company founded by Bruce Geier in 1983. The operation started with 3 employees at a 600 square foot facility in La Mesa, CA. In 1985, the company became a franchise of the internationally recognized MicroAge Computer Centers and began operating as MicroAge La Jolla. By 1990, MicroAge La Jolla moved to a 13,000 square foot building on Trade Street and evolved into MicroAge San Diego. As MicroAge San Diego continued to expand, a second building was purchased in order to meet the demands of its busy service and warehouse departments. In addition to the company’s success in San Diego, Geier took advantage of new opportunities across the country. To reflect the expansion of the company and distinguish its innovative spirit, a new name was adopted. MicroAge San Diego became Technology Integration Group (TIG). In 1997, a third building was added to the San Diego Headquarters Facility to make room for TIG’s expanded range of services. TIG added an Outsourcing Department, which develops Help Desk Sites at many of TIG’s customer locations. These Help Desk Sites focused on providing internal Hardware and Software Technical Support at the customer’s location. TIG added a Cabling & Computer Telephony Integration Division, which provides complete inside & outside premise wiring installations, as well as integrated voice mail and data solutions.

In the last 25 years, TIG operated its headquarters out of the previous Trade Street address in the Mira Mar area of San Diego. The company has grown to expand its US based footprint and IT offerings to 22 locations and a China location with a large partner network covering 4 continents. Nowadays, TIG is involved in Software Defined Technologies architecture, Big Data strategies, Cloud solutions and the best Security technologies for customers of all sizes.
