Industrial Remote Control Technology – The World of Innovation and Advancement

During these modern days of remote control technology building, repairing, modifying, customizing, and re-shaping of industrial remote control device is very common. The radio controlled devices are widely popular among the worldwide people and key components of many industrial devices. They are used for increasing system efficiency and advanced user experience. As the modern manufacturers and companies are continuously implementing innovative techniques to improve the remote controlled device, the productivity is also increased in a great extent.

These industrial remote control devices are sometime called as radio remote controllers as they are used remotely from a distance. These types of electro-magnetic devices were previously used in some mechanical gadgets that can be controlled by wireless principal. Actually the basic foundation of the radio controlled devices was made with those previous electro-magnetic devices.

Generally the modern radio remote controlled devices are based on two main parts: a powerful transmitter and a handheld receiver. The main concept of the modern remote controls is the same used in the traditional industrial wireless system: the signal sent by the transmitter is read by the handheld receiver. However, the transmitter is more powerful and the receiver can receive signals from a great distance too.

Another feature of the modern remote control technology is that they are complied with the Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum Technology. This FHSS technology enables the devices to provide interference free control of the total system. In the industrial sectors electrical and radio interference is very common and this in turn may result in signal failure and other disturbances. A FHSS enabled transmitter can help the device to prevent all types of electrical and radio interference and eliminates all types of signal disturbances.

During a little system loss of interference related problem, the FHSS enabled transmitter shuts down the whole system keeping it in failsafe mode. As a result the safety of the system is ensured and productivity is increased. This also improves the jobsite safety and prevents unwanted damage of the devices and accidents.

Normally the transmitter of the modern radio remote control devices is made for providing high frequency operation. The normal frequency of the operation is 2.4GHz. Additional 869.7 and 902-928 MHz frequencies are also available. The normal transmitting power may rise up to 60mW and they can work with 56 bit DES encryption key method of transmission.

An internally encased antenna is also available with a normal range of 1000ft/300m. The whole transmitter unit is constructed in a rugged weatherproof polymer enclosure and it can work within a temperature specification of minus 20°F to 185°F. Rechargeable Lithium Ion 12/24 VDC battery is used as a main power supply of the system. The battery of the transmitter can provide 30 hours of continuous transmission. Low battery indicator is also available. 12/24 VDC charger is supplied by the manufacturer.

BASE Engineering designs excellent industrial remote control systems for different engineering and commercial purposes. Since 1996 over 50,000 BASE systems have been employed around the globe to increase job safety and productivity. As a result of this design effort we have the confidence to offer a four year, no hassle, and replacement warranty on every product we manufacture. Remote control technology, in our hand, has moved into the next level.
