The old world school of teaching is now completely passé. Nowadays with the technology explosion that’s presently happening all over the globe, classroom education has also come a long way and many schools, colleges, and universities are increasingly incorporating more technology into common classrooms to facilitate the teaching process.
Nowadays with students constantly wired into to some type of tecnhology, the way we demonstrate information and education material has some catching up to do by incorporating more technology through the use of computers, interactive visual devices, and more. The ultimate goal when bringing technology in the classroom and your teaching plans is to make the lessons as fascinating as possible to pupils, aid them retain the information rapidly, and engage their involvement and captivation in a subject or lesson.
Computers
Research has shown that students learn more in classes where they receive at least some form of computer based direction. They take less take to progress through chapters or lessons and can retain more data. Making use of the internet for researching can be effective. Most students are on the internet every day browsing websites and searching for things that interest them. If you instruct them in the proper way to use internet search engines and how to check their sources, the internet can become a great addition to your classroom as a research tool and answer center.
Multimedia in Lessons
Presentation computer programs such as Powerpoint gives instructors the ability to create lesson plans that combine both the visual and auditory styles of learning. Many computers come with multimedia software package, so your classroom pc probably has some kind of presentation software. You can allow students to take advantage of these programs to create projects and demonstrations that contain both visual aids and text.
Using multimedia also allows for a change from the everyday chalkboard and overhead projector routine. It can bring about enhanced student interaction and interest in the subject and lesson being taught.
Interactive e books
E-books are simply books in electronic format that can be downloaded and read on a computer or online.E books are far more visually attractive than their printed boring old counterparts as e books are created combining videos, images, audio and texts. For example, imagine you a middle school biology teacher and you need an idea for a project for your students. Students are good at and enjoy using technology. As a project, instruct them to download a few ebooks on a certain topic and do additional research, then create a new ebook on their topic using video, audio, and text.
Movies and Videos
Another idea for a fun project is to have students create videos or mini movies as projects. Most students have these capabilities built into their phone, but if not your school should have a video camera for you to use. Have them create 5-15 minute prestations or videos on a topic of your choice.

We should always be looking at ways to update and change the way we teach as the ways students learn changes over time. By incorporating technology, we are giving every student a change to learn at the highest levels and with the greatest amount of resources available to them.
