* Kidney are not so strong to convert vitamin D to its active form, as person grow old their ability of converting to its active form becomes less as a result to which there is high risk of Deficiency of vitamin D
* Many medical problems which include crohn’s diseases, celiac disease, can affect the ability of intestine to convert the vitamin.
* If the person is suffering from obesity, vitamin D is extracted from the blood by the fat cells. People often have low blood levels of vitamin D with the body mass index of 30 or greater.
Prevention:-

Based on the observational studies of the individual and geographic studies of population lower risk of pancreatic cancer are associated with high level of vitamin D. maintaining blood levels above 40 ng/ml may lower the risk of pancreatic cancer.

Side Effects:-

Huge intake of vitamin D can allow the intestine to absorb more of calcium, which can lead to, much amount of calcium in blood which can cause:-
* Damaging the kidney
* Stones in kidney
* Lungs and heart can be filled with calcium deposits
* Vomiting, loss in weight
Treatment for Vitamin D Deficiency:-

* Through diet and supplements vitamin D is added more in body. Depending upon the age and health conditions the level of vitamin D may decrease.
* If in daily routine you are not exposed to sunlight or if you go out in sun covering your whole body then you must consult a doctor for the supplement of vitamin D, particularly if there is deficiency.
* Usage of sunscreen may inhibit the sun rays to enter the body. So, sunscreen should be avoided if possible.

To be rich in Vitamin D exposure to sunlight is compulsory, if it is not possible then diet rich in vitamin D should be taken or supplements are also one of the treatments to increase the level of Vitamin D in your body.
