After all, management is not restricted to the textbook principles alone.
As part of its industry interactions, SIIB invites renowned experts from the industry to share their learning and experience with the students across its postgraduate programs. In fact, students are encouraged to take up internships, research projects, etc. to learn the intricacies of the corporate sector. SIIB’s vision to deliver global managers to the world economy is supported by a highly qualified team of academic experts that guide the students towards achieving their goals. Faculties at SIIB are also actively involved with the latest developments of the industry in terms of analyzing current and accordingly predicting the path of economic progress for the businesses. SIIB has evolved as one of the leading B-schools of the country as a result of these innovative learning approaches, under the guidance of renowned academic experts. Students from the institute have established themselves as successful managers across multiple sectors. Apart from the holistic learning environment, SIIB also supports its students monetarily through the Late Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship program. The program was initiated with the objective of encouraging meritorious students and academic excellence in deserving candidates. The recent recipient of the Late Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship program for the academic year 2012 is Ms. Harjot Kaur who received an amount of 75000/-rupees to support her education.
Student achievements have always been a matter of great pride for the Symbiosis Institute of International Business. This month there were two more names added to the list of achievers when SIIB students, Malavika Gare made it to the SIU swimming team and her batchmate Shivendra Singh won the Damodashree Award 2012. While Malvika’s selection was a result of her tremendous performance at the SIU swimming championships, Shivendra won the coveted Damodarshree award along with a cash prize of one lakh rupees for his essay on the topic: “Education for the making of a complete individual”.
SIIB has a huge list of successful and well established alumni that continue to support the institute to evolve into a world class facility that specializes in training people to become global managers.

Established twenty years ago, SIIB started as SIFT, one of the first institutes to offer an MBA in International Business.
