Rice in Pakistan holds better position in foreign market due to better flavor
Like other top countries Pakistan also grows high quality of rice and holds 4th position in this kind of cash crop the reason is behind that the taste and flavour of rice are well known all over the world or especially in all such areas where there is profusion need of this crop to consume in various shapes of dishes. Pakistan is well known across the world due to abundance of natural resources, arable land as well as excessive water. Basically agriculture products account for about 21.2% of GDP and near to 43% of the labor force are directly or indirectly attached with them in the mean while Rice in Pakistan also plays a critical role in the development of economy and agriculture strength.
More than 25% of land are cultivated in Pakistan and it is one of the largest irrigation systems in the world that’s the reason Pakistan irrigates three times more acres as compare to Russia. Two provinces are mostly used to grow agriculture crop in which Punjab is one of them that takes part in the production of different cash crop like wheat, cotton and rice also. Rice is the 3rd cash crop in Pakistan that needs ample water to grow and labor extensive as well. Many kinds of Rice variety are produced in the country but Basmati is one of all that is very famous in the world due to high quality of taste and flavor.
The production of rice in Pakistan was calculated 2.47 million tons in 2010 and nearly to 95% of the Basmati rice is cultivated every year and other 5% are slightly different in taste and flavor. After the establishment of proper guidance channel in the shape of association they try their level best to provide guidance from the selection of seeds to plantation of the crop to the farmers in different areas of the country. This helps a great in the production of rice that’s why number of mills are also erected in such area where there is a need to grow rice plant.
The finishing process of the grain is done by the rice mills for this purpose there should be high tech machineries will contribute in the export of this food crop. The process will make sure that there should be same size of all the grains and also properly polished which are in the position to present as the best category of rice in all over the world.
