Raipur is a district and the capital of the state of Chhattisgarh. It is one of the upcoming cities in India that see Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, and Bangalore etc. as their idols. Meanwhile, the city was introduced to popularity quite late, after its parent state Chhattisgarh was formed by carving out the south-western region from the state of Madhya Pradesh in year 2000.
